Super Six Motorsports 4.3L stroker V6 powers Dan Chamlee and "The Factory Racing" team to Baja 500 win!

We'd like to congratulate Dan Chamlee and "The Factory Racing" team for their recent SCORE International Class 7 win in the Baja 500. Dan and his team have been a major force in SCORE Class 7 off-road racing, which is a mid-size truck category with naturally aspirated V6 power, since 2003. Dan's Ranger is powered by our developmental 4.3L stroker V6.

There's no tougher long term durability test than completing and winning 500 and 1000 mile off-road races under the severe conditions of heat and stress of desert racing, and Dan's success is proof of the durability of our 4.3L stroker V6's. Dan runs one of our 4.3L stroker V6 engines with forged pistons, a custom hydraulic roller cam, 1.7 roller rockers, Stage 3 cylinder heads, ported lower intake manifold, SSX upper intake, and 65mm throttle body.

Dan owns and operates a large appliance center in California and fabricates long travel suspension systems for off-road racing trucks. Dan's team includes his family, co-driver, and pit and chase crews. For more info on "The Factory Racing" team, go here: www.thefactoryracing.com. Way to go Dan!

What's going on with our 10-sec V6 Mustang?

We now have a new exhaust system including 1 ¾"long tube headers and 3" bullet mufflers. We added a transbrake to our C-4 automatic so now we can launch at RPM instead of idle. With these changes, the car ran a best of 11.89 naturally aspirated at the Southern V6 Ford Challenge. The car has been real consistent with the 125-shot but we've not been able to tune the car to properly utilize a 200-shot. So, we're finally installing our Vortech T-trim supercharger with an SSX sheetmetal intake and a 75mm throttle body. We hope to have the car tuned and running at Bristol FFW.

Super Six Motorsports Launches Redesigned Website

We've just completed a major website update with the help from our friends at Heritage Digital. We've broken our on-line catalog down into individual pages to improve access and added a garage sale section as well. We've also consolidated many of the forums.

What's New for 2006?
We have a whole list of new products for the 4.0 SOHC Mustang, and most of these products also work with the Ranger and Explorer. We're also expanding our products for the OHV 4.0 used in earlier Rangers and Explorers, so keep an eye out for these new products.

2006 Race Schedule
We plan on racing the following events this year:

  • The Southern V6 Ford Challenge at South Georgia Motorsports Park, Cecil, GA, March 26.
  • NMRA at Silver Dollar Raceway, Reynolds, GA, March 31-April 2.
  • Fun Ford Weekend at Atlanta Dragway, Commerce, GA, April 7-9.

Come out and join us, participation is what makes the sport happen.

What's going on with our 10-sec V6 Mustang?
Its alive and well, but we're making a few minor changes which include a transbrake, long tube headers (finally), a 3" exhaust system, and maybe a new intake manifold depending on what our dyno testing reveals. We really want to get the car deep into the 11's on motor before we start testing our new nitrous system.
